JAVEA A testing 9 hole course, always in top condition. On the Javea ~ Benitachell road midway between the villa and Benitachell, 2 minutes in the car. You can hire clubs, there is a driving range, resident professional, shop and a bar and restaurant.

OLIVA NOVA 18 hole championship course, designed by Seve, my favourite, testing but fair. Lot 's of water, undulating fairways and plenty of wind. Superb bar and restaurant. Club and buggy hire. Resident professional. Driving range.

LA SELLA 18 hole championship course, designed by Jose Maria Olazabal. Superb bar and restaurant. Club and buggy hire. Resident professional. Driving range.

VALENCIA ~ El Saler , The famous 18 hole championship course, reckoned to be among the best 100 courses in the world. No booking required. Buggy hire, shop and bar.

ALTEA ~ Don Cayo 9 hole course, set in a lush valley, inland from Altea. Play on a Tuesday morning while the wife shops at Altea market. I have yet to play this course (I can't afford to leave the wife shopping in Altea) but I am informed that it is always in good condition.

SAN JAIME 9 Hole course, short and not too testing. Reasonable green fees. Clubs for hire. Good bar and restaurant, swimming pool and tennis courts on the complex.
